Meet The Team! - Summer Court

Last year we had a few changes to our senior team, so I thought that this was a good place to show them off! Let’s start with Carol…

“I joined the team at Summercourt in February 2019 and come with many years experience working as a care home manager, mainly in Torquay area. I have also worked for Devon County Council in various roles centred around care of older people.

However, my career started as a nurse at Torbay Hospital, before going into social care and gaining the Certificate in Social Care qualification.

I married my partner Paul last year in Reykjavik, Iceland. We enjoy travelling and have been to various countries over the past 4 years we have been together. We have a Jack Russell called Parker, so are out and about with him daily and we swim 2 to 3 times a week. I attend St. James Church in Teignmouth, where I am also a member of the Parochial Church Council.

I really enjoy being part of Summercourt and think it is a lovely home, where staff always have the resident’s best interests at heart. It is a warm and friendly place, where we aim to provide meaningful activity and loving companionship”.
