Our menus at Summercourt
Home-cooked, tasty and nutritious
Every meal at Summercourt is freshly prepared and cooked in our kitchens on site by our cooks Dave and Lisa. We work hard to ensure that every meal that we serve is tasty, nutritious and enjoyable. We always use local suppliers for fresh fruit, vegetables and meat.
Our menus are updated regularly, in consultation with our residents in our regular forums. We will always do our best to meet any cultural or personal dining preferences. Vegetarians are well catered for and you will always have a choice from our menu.
The dining room is located on the ground floor, and we are also happy to serve meals to our residents’ bedrooms if they prefer, or are unable to join us at the table.
An example of our current lunch menu
- Saturday – lamb stew and dumplings with mashed potato and peas, followed by cherry pie and cream
- Sunday – roast turkey served with roast potatoes, stuffing, carrots, parsnips and green beans, followed by seasonal fruit crumble and custard
- Monday – gammon and egg served with salted potatoes, followed by bake well tart and custard
- Tuesday – home-made pasties served with homemade chips and beans, followed by spotted dick and custard
- Wednesday – roast chicken served with cranberry sauce, stuffing, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips and green vegetables, followed by rice and sultana pudding
- Thursday – corned beef hash served with seasonal vegetables, followed by bread and butter pudding
- Friday – fish in batter served with chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce and a lemon garnish, followed by mandarin sponge and custard
