Oh! The spring has sprung, so I’ve been spending time in the garden trying to smarten things up and get things ready for the residents to start thinking about Teignmouth in Bloom…
Whilst I’ve been getting muddy fingers, Meg has taken a couple of our ladies out for an early birthday celebration of afternoon tea. They went to the Pavilions for flat whites and chocolate cake, followed by an afternoon stroll along the prom. How lovely! Meg collected shells for them along the beach which they now have in their rooms.
This was all topped off with a beautiful delivery of flowers for Alice’s birthday; they came from her brother who lives in Australia. It was such a lovely Birthday suprise!
Shane has also started her Thursday activity afternoon with chair exercises and karaoke. These are really enjoyed and cause a lot of hilarity. The top tune this week was Elvis, another special Birthday treat for Alice!
We are proud to provide excellent care for our residents and are committed to training our staff so that they can provide this. We also employ specialist activity workers to ensure that residents are able to enjoy a variety of activities.
